Write a lot of songs and never stop!
That’s it. I know it’s boring but it’s true! Write good songs, bad songs, silly songs, political songs, ugly songs, beautiful songs, melodic songs, sad songs, happy songs, Broadway songs, whatever…but write and you will improve! Isn’t that comforting? I hope so.
We’ll be writing songs in this class of course, but it can only take you so far. I hope that for those of you who are just starting, this is just the start, and for those of you with more experience, I hope this class will encourage you to continue to write. In regards to songwriting nothing succeeds like proliferation!
