Okay at this point nothing is set in stone. The song is currently in a very amorphous state. Anything goes regarding potential changes. This is an opportunity to experiment and see what works and what doesn’t.

So in this next recording you can hear me try a different melodic motif for the the third line of the verse. Give it a listen and see what you think. Should I change it or leave it alone? There’s often no absolutely correct answer. It’s almost always subjective.

You can hear me trying the two different approaches HERE.

Next we’ll move on to the chorus. As previously mentioned in many ways the chorus is the most important part of the song. It’s the essence of the song. It where the song’s hook usually resides. So in this next recording you’ll hear me working on a melody for the chorus. You can hear it HERE.

Lastly here’s a recording of me trying to work on lyrics for the chorus. It’s not a very pretty process but at least it’s a start. You can hear my efforts HERE.

So what do you think? Is this song worth finishing? Not every song is. My personal opinion is that it’s got potential. I think I’ll work on it some more and will keep updating this course as I move toward hopefully finishing it.
